Haven't Australians got any sense of humour?

And don't news organizations have anything better to waste ink/electrons on?

Does it matter? It's not like they could police such a law.

You've never heard of the much-feared 'Mouse Police'?

Actually, if they tag a woman for selling a goldfish to a kid, I don't want to imagine what they might do if you fail to kill a mouse, or alternatively, fail to keep if alive, or whatever the damn law happens to demand.

Yes, breakdown is in progress, send in the emergency beer.

Slightly worse than arresting a woman for selling a goldfish to a 14-year-old:

Such a f**ked up society down there.

Jesus H flipping Christ.

They're making me xenophobic.

Never trust a culuture that can't produce a decent sitcom or porno.

Seriously though until America bombs that shit hole they can't be taken serioulsy on the war on terror.

Yes! A crucial ruling in the arena of free speech, scientific debate and the hegemony of the libel laws. :)

Best piss take of the day. Especially how they got the commentators to join in.

These are hilarious.

That's the first I saw of this so-called "news". The BBC's lead of "Few are laughing in Australia following Robin Williams' joke..." is correct only insofar as no one I know in this country had heard about it, let alone taken offence. The Australian prime minister who rebuked Robin Williams over the joke is merely an insincerely jingoistic uber-PC tosspot, always eager to seize the flimsiest pretext to display his phony nationalism, believing this will endear him to voters. And it may, as plenty of Australians are FITH.

:D

I may not know much about art, but I know what I like...

Whatever one thinks of it (and to some heterosexual males of a certain age it will have a special place in their hearts), it is an iconic photograph...
