Will anyone be genuinely upset that The Bill is getting axed? Seems like one of those shows like Holby and Casualty that everyone is indifferent to.

Yes. Me. See above posting.

You might as well kill yourself now, John. Save a lot of heartache in the future.

You don't even want to joke about that shit at the moment.

I'm sure there were plenty of loyal British soldiers who lived in Germany for a time, had parents who spoke German at home, etc.

Yep, many were from dual heritage backgrounds.

I always like the story of the mental Scottish guy who was dropped into France as a sabateur and spent his time destroying railway lines and bridges, etc, dressed in a kilt.

Don't usually do these, but Console

Cheers DD. Think we must be getting up to a full moon or something.

I would be proper gutted if they axed EastEnders or something. I would probably cry.

*Switches on 'sarcasm mode'* Yeah that would be just awful.

Shuttup you!

Imagine if this series of Doctor Who goes really badly, and they axe it again... :O

Then in fifteen years time, when I'm super successful, I could bring it back! I could be that decades RTD! Only a bit less gay! (Only a bit less)

You're very easily shocked.

Heh.
You're so gay I reckon you'd cast yourself as the Doctor.

:P I'd cast Bussell as the Doctor, I could be Davros. Or a Slitheen.

For reasons I won't go into (other than the fact I'm likely a closet homosexual) I ended up watching Over The Rainbow on BBC One tonight. First of all, possibly the most camp title sequence in the history of television...

Secondly though (and most importantly) was the way they culled the 54 "Dorothys" down to only 20 during their stay at the 'Dorothy Farm' (yep, that's what they called it)...

They lined the girls up in rows in a room and made them continue to sing 'Over The Rainbow' whilst Charlotte Church went amongst them and, upon her touch, they were one-by-one eliminated. You've got to admire the sadism of the producers to think that this was the most sensitive way to extinguish the young hopefuls' dreams.

The whole sequence was (intentionally?) staged so that it reminded one of the scene in Schindler's List where Nazi camp commander Amon Goeth goes amongst the rows of obediently lined-up prisoners, randomly shooting them in the head.

In conclusion, I predict yet another massive hit for the BBC.

Laughing out loud

I just read that Fox is canceling 24.
