would anybody actually want to fly the Union Jack even if it wasn't connected to the right-wing?
Billy Bragg is anti right-wing but pro-flag.
I think it's interesting that all countries feel they need a flag, and very often, the flags are the same basic design, and even the very same colours but in a different order. Where's the originality?
If I had a country, then instead of a national flag, I would have a national smell. All stamps would smell of it. Coins would be smelly. As would the troops. And I would call it; France.
