Yes it is, and until I'm at a stage where I could go without work for a while it would be futile trying to do that. Although signing up 6 month contracts perhaps wouldn't be too bad. Although, no sick pay, holiday pay etc.

Not always. If you're with a big enough organisation you can hop from one project to another. Simple.

My son just called and said that 5 cubic yards of dirt (a mixture of manure, compost and sand) are now sitting on my driveway. Guess I'll be a shoveling fool for the next day or two.

Bigger companies will have multipule sites - and if this is construction project management (I assume you're talking about). there will be site offices you'll spend most of your time on.
