I don't think we've tried to be funny once in Missing Scene, for instance; not even by accident. It'll be thirty, dreary, dreadful minutes of misery.

You sell it Matthew!

Teaser trailer number one is up and running!

If anything, I think Matt's being kind. If I didn't feature on camera I'd have Alan Smithee'd my name out of this thing a long time ago.

"'Missing Scene'-30 awful minutes of 'comedy'"

MATT! Please don't start comfort eating again. Everything's going to be ok.

"'Missing Scene'-30 awful minutes of 'comedy'"

Comedy? Really? ;)

Can we double up on 'awful'?

Well it's an interesting marketing tactic! It could be stuff of text books for years to come.

The Blair Witch.....Missing Scene....!

Laughing out loud

Quote: Matthew Stott @ March 25 2010, 4:34 PM GMT

Well, the trailer itself isn't funny, I don't think. Is it? I don't thnk it's supposed to be. It's not supposed to be throwing away the actual laughs from the thing, just, well, teasing.

Just shows how hard making a trailer is. I know this isn't in Critique, but it looks brilliant and good idea getting the stars in there and it is mysterious, but I really reckon if you're doing a trailer for comedy, there should be a laugh in there - but maybe it's just me being dense and not getting it. I thought there was going to be a reveal of Kevin Eldon's crab hand or even a jazz hand. But then I know nothing and probably completely wrong. Looking forward to seeing more though. :)

It's apparently about keeping the thing 'precious', according to our Director. It wasn't made for the internet, so he/we don't want to waste any of the laughs on it. Yet. It all makes sense. Probably. Doesn't it? I think.

It's not a trailer, but a 'teaser'.

Was the director Gollum?

Yes it makes perfect sense.

Okay, that makes sense. Sort of. :) Anyway if it's a series of trailers that makes loads more sense.

I think there will be a string of these sort of things. Then kind of a trailer. Though I don't think any will give away any of the jokes, so you may well come away from each dissapointed! :D
