Fancy word for messy or in disarray.

6 weeks leaps to mind for me, put that means he needs to do it smartish.

I think 6 weeks is about right from dissolution of Parliament until election day. So yes, any day now.

Ah. Like it.

Second linguistic-related thing I've learnt on here day. ;)

Tim, is that not how Labour have always operated?

Once the monarch has granted the dissolution of Parliament, it's about a month until the election. It can be no more than 17 working days after the dissolution. The period can feel more like 6 weeks as the PM announces the date of the election before seeking dissolution; although it's likely to be only a few days beforehand that he does so.

Here's a Parliamentary paper on procedure: http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib/research/briefings/snpc-05085.pdf

(That means that the Queen will probably dissolve Parliament on April 15th - although she isn't required to do so, and could invoke a new sitting.)

I got home to a letter from David Cameron. Asking me to vote for change in 2010. I didn't think he knew me.

Watching my neighbour, the crossdresser, wobble around in some high heels trying to wash his mini-van.

Heh. This is where I get puzzled.
If he's trying to dress like a woman then he should be told that no woman would wash her car in heels!

But maybe that's not strictly what he's trying to do/be.

He's trying to be an idiot and succeeding so leave him/her/it/thingy alone.

Haha. Slightly harsh. ;)

Bigfella is in his Essex office.

He has been to the loo and encountered a problem similar to Ellie had a few weeks ago.

Pouring a big bucket of water into the loo at the same time as flushing it should do the trick.

True to an extent, except as of today they seemed to have abandoned any façade of actually attempting to include reality in any of their statements.

The worst thing that could possibly happen to the Labour Party is for it to actually win the election, then have to deal with the consequences of their economic mismanagement. Their best plan would be to wreck the economy as much as possible before May 6th (disguising the worst of it until then), then regroup over the next five years whilst the public (and they in opposition) throw shit at the Conservatives who will have to do the dirty work.

Probably the only person in Labour who won't accept that argument is Gordon, for whom the party would then be over. I heard an interesting recent quote, which is attributed to Mandelson speaking about the post-election scenario, which reflects the psychosis of Brown: he apparently said, "You don't think Gordon will let a little thing like an election defeat stop him, do you?"
