Blimey, that was close.

Yeah! Who are you leaving the flowers for anyway?

I don't know, I just saw all the flowers and thought I'd pay my respects.

JAMES
Hang on there's a photo here. (HE PICKS IT UP)

CUT TO:

CLOSE-UP OF JAMES HOLDING THE PHOTO; IT'S A PICTURE OF A FOX. JAMES AND PETER LOOK AT EACH OTHER CONFUSED.

END

Yup, I'm confused too!

I get it but it is a bit of a leap.

Well I thought it was brilliant Giggl-o.

All be it the ending had nothing to do with the setup. The photo of the fox was really funny and very clever.

I really like the set up. A funny idea. And I sort of get the fox idea, although, for me, it detracts from the initial premise. What do you think? Did you write it with that ending in mind or do you think there's a potentially improved resolution?

Yeah, but what did you think of the sketch Bill?
;)

It's one of those sketches that I think if it were filmed it would be easier to make the leap than reading it. (I think)

The fox finish was the original idea and I've been thinking of a build-up for quite a while, so it's a back-to-front sketch. Maybe the two don't go together. Errr
Thanks all.

I think the forum is perfect for sketches like this whereby you hit a wall or are stumped to fill in the blanks. Sometimes it only takes someone to mention a particular thing or point out where you've went wrong/right.

Anyway some great stuff in that sketch. The fox photo is sublime comedy.

I got it, and I really like the idea.

Only thing is, it seems a bit odd that one man would follow another over a motorway without knowing who they're leaving flowers for.

Could you not just cut to a paramedic tending to the last accident having a look around and picking up the picture of the fox?

That way you don't even need to have any dialogue in it, and I don't think this idea actually needs dialogue.

Ah, yes, much better idea. Thanks sglen.

No probs, great stuff!

Another killer idea. It is a little bit like two ideas but I would happily accept it. Sglen's idea sounds pretty good too. Have you done a new version yet?

Thanks Scratch, I haven't made the changes yet, but it was a very nice suggestion so I'm sure it'll make the edit. :)

I like this. Nice.

Was it a picture of a dead fox? Was the fox a catholic? Was it Basil?

Originally I was thinking the picture of the fox would be a fox wearing clothes and in sat in a chair like a little kid. But I think a picture of a fox in someone's garden would do.
