Aren't the Union denying this?

Yes, but you wouldn't expect them to admit differently, would you?

There was quite an angry striker on the radio the other day saying workers who broke the picket line would be considered scabs for the rest of their lives. But he was quite camp and couldn't really carry the menace off.

No, I know. They were saying over half of Heathrow's took off, which is good. I'm just hoping the Strike is sorted out by next weekend. I am so very pissed off. From what I can gather is they're striking about staff cuts and pay freezes... something which the rest of the UK are dealing with anyway. It's pathetic.
Yep, and BA staff are already paid roughly double those on every other airline. They're just ungrateful. When the rest of the country is glad just to HAVE a job, complaining that you're not getting a rise takes the biscuit. They're disgusting and should be ashamed.
Exactly. Totally agree.
I can't believe people are striking about having a job.
It's weird but it seems to be really difficult to get the facts on this one and what they're really striking about. It seems odd to be striking at such an economically dangerous time without really good reason. It seems there's plenty of freelance staff BA can get in to cover. Now either people just have no qualms with being scabs these days, or they can't see why their colleagues are striking either.
I've looked into it, and even Unite don't really talk about why they're striking.
Ha! Hopefully there's a good chance your flight will still run then. And then so can you.
I thought it is to do with the terrible uniforms they have to wear?

Fingers crossed Dolly. My flight is on Friday when strikes are not meant to be happening, but it says it could be disrupted.
And what day is the run?
Sunday. I wanted a day of site seeing before hand. I don't get there till late Friday.

Well I wanted to see some sites.
