So what kind of stuff have people had accepted? Film? TV comedy? Radio comedy?

A lot of writers I've read about picked up from WR tend to be packed off to Doctors or Holby, so I'm guessing those guys 'n' gals sent in drama.

There's clearly a greater need for drama writers, with such shows as Doctors, Holby, Casualty and EastEnders that all need a constant supply of writers. Aside from Two Pints, there are no real comedy shows that need a similar supply of writers. So the odds are better if you concentrate on drama with the writersroom.
Isn't Grownups and My Family also in that very short comedy list, as they're done by teams.
Like Chipolata said, not very many opportunities for comedy writers.

I've had four scripts accepted. I've had four scripts rejected. Disfortunatley they were the one and the same four. The upside being that they did not confuse me by explaining why. Not why they were the one and the same four, but rather why the one and four were rejected.
They merely wrote a brief, albeit cryptic note saying:"What the f**k are writing about?" I tried reading between the lines but it was availess. Perhaps there was a hidden message?

Well, not quite everything. Holby, EastEnders and Doctors. I wish he'd get on and write another Jack Delaney novel, that's all I can say.

There seems to be someone on there getting very arsey just because whoever read their script at The Writers Room didn't like it, but then someone else did.

Seems a bit odd to be so upset about it. Hand a group of so called 'informed' people the same script, and you'll get a wide range of different reactions, no use moaning about it.
