Didn't she sing 'I love Rock And Roll'? Britney Spears covered it a few years back.

Ask every indie band you meet (especially ones with female members) about Joan Jett. She's probably the most highly respected and influential woman in rock and roll over the last 35 years or so.

Well that would be Debbie Harry - but she'd certainly be somewhere in the top ten.

He wasn't talking about influences in hair colour DD!

I probably know a hundred people in bands (running the gamut from punk to industrial to noise to classic rock) and I don't think Debbie Harry would top Joan on any of their lists. I love DH, but my vote is for JJ.
Joan, Debbie, David Johansen (New York Dolls) and Joey Ramone. What a gathering.
Where does Yoko Ono rank?
Ooh, he (New York Dolls guy) is the one who played the scary dead taxi driver in Scrooged!
(I think)...
Look what showed up yesterday.
Ya big weirdo.

Debbie Harry is a skank.
That's crazy, DaButt. Just crazy. Who's it intended for, the King of England?

Funny, I'd say the opposite about the people I know and don't but who I've read/seen interviews with. Maybe it's a UK/US thing?

Maybe in America, I don't think she's had as much of an impact over here. I only know that 'I love Rock And Roll' song. I think there's a film coming out about her, isn't there? Like I say, she must be much bigger/more famous in the States.

She was in a really great band.
