It's Garry Shandling's Show

I'm after watching all of the Larry Sanders show and basically everything I could find on YouTube.

Is this show as good as the rest of his output?

I've not watched everything he's done but I did love this show back in the 80's I think it was.  I've no idea how dated it would seem now.  At the time it seemed very different, messing with the theme tune etc.  I'd like to see it again.  :)

Seen season 1 recently and it was a joy. I wish things like these were available on DVD.

I liked it at the time but haven't seen it since. I wasn't impressed by Larry Sanders though.

I've got vague memories of talking about this show, with my friends, when I was a kid, in my local park. I don't really remember anything about it now, though.

I've watched this recently and loved it. Actually, as a comedy writer you should really watch it.

It weren't bad. It took a bit of getting used it as it was so different. If you want to see a lesser version of it watch Sean Hughes's Sean's Show. Basically a rip off of it. Garry Shandling was on Larry King the other night defending Barack Obama. Very bizarre.

Al Jean & Mike Reiss (Simpsons Season 4 showrunners) used to write for this if I remember correctly.

Sean's Show was great. I wonder if his sock has dried yet?

seems to be difficult enough to find, is there any reason for there being no DVD releases?(like how larry sanders has problems with the guest music appearances)

I remember reading the description of sean's show and thinking it was similar.

there are several simpsons writers on larry sanders too I believe.

This was genius. Gag-heavy and fourth wall-smashing. I'm sure you can find it through unofficial channels, sardines, although I cannot condone such activities.

oh I cannot condone them either, and I'm pleased to say it looks like many others feel the same.

Just noticed in The Times' 'Playlist' review section that the first series of It's Garry Shandling's Show, complete with extras (including episode audio commentaries from Garry and his co-creator Alan Zweibel) is released on Monday. :)
