I've got until December to finish a 90 minute screenplay and it doesn't seem enough time!

Loads of time, Wes Craven wrote Scream in 24 hours as I remember. Granted it's just a cut and paste of all his old films but still :P

What your screenplay Dolly?

Three. :(

Oh no, he only got two too... but different times.

Tuesday and Wednesday?

Coming of age comedy drama. With lots of music and sex and drugs. :)

Great film, Scream.

Now I've got through writing a properly structured First Act it is coming easier. I think the First Act may be the important thing to get right. Saying that, I have no evidence or experience to back that claim up.

You on 3 Act structure?

Did either of his actually occur whilst you were having sex? You can't claim for any he had on the way home, I'm afraid, dearest...

This a pretty good beat calculator. http://www.rareform.com/screenplay-editor/beats.php based on Blake Snyder's screenplay structure principles.

Ahhh cool, any trippy sequences? I wrote one for a book where a guy is a bit messed up and see's his friend dressed as Aquaman trying to catch a giant moth with a harpoon.

You on 3 Act structure?

From the films I've watched over the years, even the more unconventional ones still adhere in some way to a 3 Act Structure, it seems. (At least the good ones do.) Saying that, it's not foremost in my mind when writing, but structure is ultimately important. Probably. Errr

:D No, it's pretty much third person POV.

Oooo That's cool as!!

I have been looking at some mail articles online - they come up on yahoo and it seems recently they seem to have a thing against Labour. I wonder why that is.

I've tried using on a 10 minute short and it's kinda wierd, but works.

Seems about right, but I would the beats there are most important in the First Act and the end of the Second. (With this level of insight I really should be producing my own 'How To Write A Screenplay' book to add to the pile.)
