Quote: Ben @ March 19 2010, 8:37 AM GMTOh, you're so topical, Robyn! Maybe you should start a sketch based revue at your uni, yes?
Haha! I think I could do it.

It's abot a grumpy doctor who kills dogs with his car just to advance the plot.
Quote: Tim Walker @ March 19 2010, 9:39 AM GMTMy first TV production credit is due on screen soon. Though as it will be on BBC Three I don't know if that is a cause for celebration.
Ooh, 'Citing! Every time I talk to a producer, the words 'this would be perfect for BBC3!' come out too.

Well, I like to call it an "anti-rom-com" (because I'm a pompous c**t). A dark comedy-drama called 'To Love Somebody' - some sort of cross between Todd Solondz, Jim Jarmusch and Mike Leigh in 'Naked'/'High Hopes' form. Something like that anyway. I really don't know what I'm talking about. Very different challenge though, compared with writing a 30 - 50 minute script. We'll see...
Hope everyone's been well around here. I hope to be back more often now.

That makes us sound at least a touch camper than we actually are, and we are very camp.

As it's not too much of a secret, I was drafted in to do some (fairly last minute) writing for that new Simon Bird panel show starting soon.

I can visualise you all going to the shop to buy them - rather like that scene in 'Boogie Nights'...

The pilot I was sent showed quite a bit of promise, so we'll see.

I'd watch that.

I envision it as the sort of film you would take your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/spouse to - that is if you didn't really like them and were thinking of ending the relationship.
I am sort of working to a deadline on this one, so it will indeed get finished.
