But goals can be written for all aspects of life.

How about 'falling in love'? Sure, you could have a goal to meet a certain sort of person, and you might even fulfill the goal of getting them to like you. But could you love them through deliberate goal-setting?

The answer is obviously no. But this comes back to not setting goals that are outside your control. You can set goals for your love life, but as with other areas of your life, these should be about steps you intend to take to achieve the desired result, not the desired result itself.

Set goals that are just a matter of you having to fulfil something - such as running a marathon, writing a book, etc.

But I think it's futile to set goals that rely or include other people and their opinions/feelings etc - such as getting the book published, getting married etc.

Talking about it all seems to be the way forward!

I'm with Noel Edmonds, Cosmic Ordering's the future. You don't actually have to do anything, just pop your order in and the cosmos will take care of you. Sorted.

I shall look forward to being worth more than the whole of the BCG. So about ten bob and whatever Bussell's hair would raise on the tonsorial blackmarket?

Interesting fact - David Bussell does not have tonsils.
