Do people not go to the local discotheque and do the bogle bogle to meet a partner? I thought this was the way the majority of relationships started these days.

It probably is, but as I'm not into club anthems, orange skin, or bad clothes I do not frequent such places. There's one good pub for people of my kind of ilk in Southend, which after a few years, only has the same people in all the time.

Well it's opened my eyes a bit, that's all, I've been a mug for being too loyal in the past, where did it get me? She's having fun instead of regretting not having any, and in a way, it's not her problem if they are attached and come and see her, it's their problem. But a lot of men have a bit on the side and still love their wives/girlfriends. I do think in England we are a bit uptight about this sort of thing, because really it keeps everyone happy and makes the world go round.

If everyone's aware of what's going on and is happy with it then yes, that would be fine. That's what 'open relationships' are for!

I think it's a completely shitty thing to do to lie and cheat though. No amount of 'it's natural', 'we're all animals', and 'what they don't know won't hurt them' would change my mind about that. :)

If you're with a disloyal partner, you might feel doubly cheated.
But what if you find a loyal partner, and then you're the one who's disloyal? You lower yourself to be that of a cheat, and risk losing the loyal partner too.

I base this solely on my own personal experience, of watching 'Sex and the City'.

:D

I now think that what your other half doesn't know won't hurt them, I think my old attitude was a bit uptight, it's crazy, we are all animals with animal needs.

Errr

It's a documentary!

You've been twisted. You've been turned far too far the other way.

Dating and Shagging are 2 different things, sometimes.

O contraire, I've been enlightened and I have seen the positive effect it has on me, I am much less awkward about chatting women up since I've known her, I've realised the huge benefits of flirting, it makes everybody feel good and if your love is strong for someone else, it won't harm that. As long as no one gets hurt, I really think it can be beneficial to stray a little, at certain times.

Yes - I'm sure she'll love you and respect you for it.

That's what my neighbour's like, she has four regular fancy men, all of them spoken for, and then she has new dates round inbetween. It is a very carefree approach that once I would have been disgusted by, but she's a very nice gal who is just totally honest about what she wants and she's giving men what they want, whether they should be wanting it or not. I now think that what your other half doesn't know won't hurt them, I think my old attitude was a bit uptight, it's crazy, we are all animals with animal needs. I wonder if she's in.

Oh dear.

Flirting's different though. It's fun, nobody gets hurt, and you get to the front of any queue.

I think you've gone a bit wrong.
Love and f**king other women don't really mix. That isn't love.

This thread's gone a bit heavy...

Yeah, clubs aren't really good places to meet potential suitors IMO. I mean, last Saturday I went to a club and I was cutting some shapes on the dancefloor and not one of the girls was impressed by my origami swan.
