Anyone know any good audio commentaries? Ones with Armando Iannucci are always very interesting, as he sometimes talks about how comedy works, and how to shape a show. The commentary on Spaced is really good.
Audio commentary
I'm watching one now! One Foot in the Grave with David Renwick and Richard Wilson. S'good.
Seinfeld's amazing for commentaries too, along with Partridge.
Great for ideas on structure and how they put the episodes together.
The League of Gentlemen do a good commentary.
Anyone listened to John Cleese's commentaries on every single episode of Fawlty Towers? Worth getting the remastered set DVDs for?
I like to watch the IT Crowd commentaries just to count how many times Graham Lineham says "Ted".
Brass Eye's commentary is great for the Drugs episode. Brining in a group of homeless? drunks to comment on an episode was a great idea.
I second The League of Gentlemen. I watch it with the commentary on more than I do the actual show. Very funny.
Graham Linehan's commentary for Father Ted is very funny too. He rambles on in a very pleasing way.
Brass Eye's drugs episode is a good shout out too, utterly bizarre.
The Black Books commentaries are really good fun too, sounds like they had a lot of fun making that show.
I third the League of Gentlemen!
Big Train is one of my favourites. But why is Mark Heap so silent?!
Orgazmo, the crap porn movie spoof by the South Park guys, is slightly improved by a commentary track in which they are smoking a bong, drinking whisky and eventually drift into incoherence and irrelevant asides.
Some of Peter Davison's duller Doctor Who serials are sometimes enhanced by commentary from Janet Fielding (who I could not stand as Tegan when I was a kid). Best of all is a DVD featurette on the Who story Time Flight, in which Janet Fielding talks about fans lining up to be hit with "Mara sticks". The dumbfounded faces she pulls are really gelogenic.
The best audio commentary of all time is for This Is Spinal Tap - Guest, McKean and Shearer do it in character and make the finest comedy of the last 30 years even funnier.

Hey, it wasn't all bad. That 'Now You're a Man' song is great and I still find myself yelling "Stunt cock!" to this day.
Just about all of Trey Parker's songs are great (though the songs in Cannibal the Musical may be the exception - I can't remember, having watched it only once).

I especially enjoy the fact that even cider-frazzled tramps know a hoax when they see one, whereas Noel Edmonds and his ilk remain steadfastly unaware.
Black Books commentary is good, also Bill Baileys commentary is usually nonsensical and hilarious.
I really like Rhys Darby's Robotman sketch:
Watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbMUJXzhqlg
Then watch the sketch with LIVE director's commentary - genius!
