I was mad at the guy for bringing a (highly illegal concealed) pistol along, but it saved our wallets and perhaps our lives that day. He was a Vietnam vet who never really got used to walking around unarmed.

Open carry is often outlawed if a state issues concealed carry permits. Here in Texas it's easy to get a concealed permit, but open carry is illegal.

Cities like Chicago and DC which don't allow handguns have some of the highest crime and homicide rates in the country. Hmmm ...

There have been several over the years and snatch-and-grab laptop thefts are becoming an epidemic in some areas. That will probably change if people are packing.

It wasn't a Starbucks, but it was only 2 or 3 months ago that 4 police officers were killed in a Seattle coffee shop.
