Sitcom (Com)Mission Page 65

The more I think about Futile Nihilstic Nothingness, the more I want to see it. It sounds deep, but is probably just Seinfeld...

We're going to be at the New Diorama Theatre. It's a purpose-built, 80 seater. It's so new that it hasn't even opened yet.

We thought it would be useful to catch a show there before we open. The date is April 6th and the cost just £8.00. There's a decent bar too, so you can linger, network, meet the Artistic Director etc.

Who's up for it? It only seats 80 so if you're interested please get back to me asap.

I shouldn't worry, if you're promised a second crit, you will receive one eventually. I would think they are busy with the 16 people/actors/comp etc and workshops and trying to squeeze crits in, in between

Hi guys

Sorry about the (huge) delay in getting second crits out. They are on their way.

Every time I send one out from now on, I'll come on here and give you all an update. That way, you'll get sick of me first.

So far, 4 down, 81 to go.

Sorry again, I'm not happy about it either. We have a higher standard than this and we won't let it happen next time.

Cheers, Declan

A belated congratulations to the final 16!

Now that it's down to 16, does it turn nasty? When do we deploy the weapons, underhand tactics and bribery?

Most of us have deployed them already ;)

I've just done and sent out a Bronze crit!

Five down, 80 to go.

congratulations!! :D

Six down, 79 to go.

Happy weekend all.

And there's still spaces for our Introduction to Sitcom Writing course in London tomorrow, details are here:

Sunday update: nine down, 76 to go.

Bit late to post I know but it's a while since I've been on line.

Just wanted to add my 'boo hoo's to those of us who got kicked out and congratulations to those who made it to the live shows. I still enjoyed the rehearsal and read through experiences plus ate two curries in one day! And as a bonus I got to see an actor who was on EastEnders this week being a tough guy, playing a nerd in Renegade's sitcom. :)

Unfortunately due to the nature of people hiding behind user names ;) I'm losing track of who's who so will not embarrass myself by guessing some wrong!

But I hope you all have an excellent experience.

Yeah, I remember being quite surprised when I discovered that Carpark was not only Muslim but also a lesbian.

Thanks Jane,

Will you be attending any of the heats?
