Have just found one; never seen one before. Torrent sites are a bad thing aren't they. What say you all?
Torrent site.
What does this mean?
Bittorrent is a means of transmitting data across the internet. It's all perfectly safe and legal.
Unless the data is illegal, of course.
if not for torrent sites, I wouldn't have shelled out so much money on DVDs in Amazon...

Torrenting has its merits; overall, it's neither good nor bad. Unless you're the Dark Lord of course.
I've managed to get all sorts of obscure stuff which otherwise I may never have heard of at all. Quite a change from going to old record fares and traipsing through a box of bootlegged tapes, paying through the nose then discovering it is not as advertised.
I've had a few albums off torrent sites and found the very last ep of Ab Fab on one, but if I can buy it I will.
Sometimes they can encourage people to buy things
Torrents are fun especially when you have a raft to ride them.
A torrent of lava...not so fun.

Boy, do I love Finnish humour !
The one I use only does British TV & Radio and only things which aren't available to buy - so it doesn't feel too illegal really. It's sometimes faster to download a torrent of something like ISIHAC than wait for the laggy iPlayer to stream it and people often upload red button content you missed or really old sitcoms like A Small Problem which they find on old VHS tapes.
I do occasionally download a couple of tracks before deciding whether or not to buy an album but as my DVD and CD collections looked like this about 2 years ago (I've bought more since!):
I don't really think I can be accused of actively harming the entertainment industry!

Sadly I have, but that was a comment on one of my scripts.
I still don't understand.
*pats David on the head* We know.
