...it's kind of a crap My Family...

:O :O :O :O

Talk about damning with faint praise...

Remember when the BBC used to produce quality comedy; Only Fools And Horses, Steptoe & Son etc. Nowadays we get middle of the road tripe like Big Top, totally unfunny. Please don't make any more of this, it's awful. Get back to making cutting edge comedy.

Edited by Aaron - capitals and punctuation.

I don't know, how far back you remember, how old are you? What do you mean by cutting edge? And what do you mean by etc?

Do you have a problem with having to rank things Aaron?

It's a boy thing. I do it too.

Y'know CDs/DVDs in order on the shelves, complete collections or at least with spaces reserved for the missing items. In alphabetical order.

If true, I'm neither surprised nor upset. However, I do think it's a pity that they couldn't have given it a chance to learn from its mistakes.

(I do hate the term 'axed' in that context, as it suggests pulling the rug out from underneath work that is already under way.)

I think it is a shame - it is a show that could have/should have been good. Too many spoons in the pot nowadays.

The Beeb is axing too many shows after the first series. If they do not give shows time to grow then they will find themselves with one failure after another.

Although I didn't like the show, I certainly agree with Timbo's point.

And I thought I was having an off day. Well happy now.

But I do agree that things shouldn't be cancelled if they underperform on one series.

At least its not like the US where they don't even show the whole series if it fails.

As good as, looking at the treatment of The Persuasionists.

Well that didn't just underperform that fell from the top of Blackpool Tower then bellyflopped into a pile of donkey poo on the beach. Wasn't it only getting around 200,000 - 400,000 in a slot that should get 900,000 - 1.2m?

Quite possibly, but the BBC should not be chasing ratings. It's a public service broadcaster, not a commercial bitch.

True. It's bad for people who watch something every week and then get effed about when they shunt it into a graveyard slot

Material Girl
My Hero
The Pers - whatevers - I can't spell it
Brookside (killed by channel 4)

I'm surprised Big Top was never moved to Sundays around 7.
