Longest I've driven was 4 hours up the East Coast of Aus.
I listen to music and watch the scenery, but mostly I stare at the clock and odometer until I reach my destination. Satellite radio makes the drive bearable; on the way up I listened to the outlaw Country channel: lots of Willie Nelson and George Jones.
I drove 16 hours and 1,000 miles one day when I was younger and stupid. I was almost hallucinating at the end.

Longest I ever drove was from my place to Belguim and Back in one sitting. On the way back we stopped about 50 miles from my house to get a drink and some food and I fell asleep at the table. Was mentally smashed. Just worked it out 987 miles darn....Da Butt your harder core then I am
Chip's afternoon snooze has been interupted by the kid next door having a tantrum in the back garden and his mom shouting, 'GET IN THE HOUSE NOW! GET IN! NOW! THE HOUSE! IN!'

Was it Andrew's mother?
I've done Cherburg to St Tropez in a jeep with doors that would open every twenty minutes from the vibration of the road and no mod cons.

Lol! I could probably make the journey in an hour and 15 minutes
