Doctor Who... Page 393

It very much sounds like the Doctor is about to jump the shark.

Laughing out loud

The Doctor arriving on the Space Titanic to rescue Kylie Minogue is the epitome of shark jumping. How any of you can think that the new series is going to be worse then the RTD running around, plotless, emotional blub-fest is beyond me.

Yep, the new trailer is stinky pants but you'll all still watch the first episode when it comes out, you're fooling no one.

BTW using the expression 'I'm out' on a DW thread is not adviseable, unless of course your confirming your love for the pink oboe.

I just watched an episode of Minder that has both Patrick Troughton and Janet Fielding.

I see that there's a Peladon DVD box set out now. Any one know if it's worth investing in?

*shrugs* I've never seen either of 'em. I've got The Deadly Assassin on the go at the minute, which is pretty good.

I think The War Games shall be my next purchase.

Oooh look, has the Doctor found another new companion?:

I like The Deadly Assassin. It's nice and trippy.

I could buy these, but then I'd have to buy three more cups to get the best out of them:

Yes, because it comprises two Jon Pertwee stories, provided you don't mind the weird alien Alpha Centauri.

Consider yourself duly forewarned about the 'special feature' that was needlessly ruined by the presence of a guy named Zed.

Blink was on last night. Still really good.

I'm going to try and start watching/listening to Troughton's episodes soon.

I've been going through the Troughtons. On 'Invasion' at the moment. The new Doc appears to be a bit of a Troughton fan.

Watching the new Who trailers today made me realise how much Matt Smith reminds me of a young Fred Gwynne. That doesn't bode well.

Who's he?
Some other brick faced, blank-eyed lunk?

(I do not know if lunk is a word.)

*googles him*

Lolz0rs.

Only skimmed the thread but gutted that the Tardis has been axed. What are they thinking?

Unimpressed

Brick-faced, blank-eyed lunk??? And why has Matt Smith been described as having "unconventional" looks?
