Family Guy Cut Away #2 - Lois Birthday

Hey all. Hope you guys don't mind me flinging up some of my cut aways for feedback?

_____

Lois
Peter, do you know what day it is today?

Peter
Erm. Friday

Lois
Yes. But, do you know what the occasion is?

Peter
Thursday. Wait. No. Tuesday

Lois
It's my birthday!

Peter
Well why did you ask me if you knew what day it was. Sheesh Lois that's so stupid.

Lois
You forgot my birthday didn't you

Peter
Lois. How long have you known me? What? 5 maybe 6 somethings

Peter puts his hand around Lois

Peter
Let's just look at that wonderful plane in that beautiful sky and see what happens

A plane flys over releasing a smoke message: "Peter loves Lois forever"

Lois cuddles into Peter

Lois
Awe Peter. I love you too

Cut back to the plane still relaying a message while Peter and Lois cuddle

"If you see this Madonna. Call me."

I think you've made a good impression of the tone & style of family guy.
I can't quite tell whether I'd laugh at this in an actual episode but it's a good funny idea.

It's difficult to say really when It's a copy of another style.

I've seen a few videos recently that are blatant Ricky Gervais rip offs and all I keep thinking is why not use the energy on something original.
However if it get's you writing & having funny ideas then it's no bad thing.

Thanks again Steve. Helpful feedback.

The tone & style really is right up my street - it's my type of comedy, so I enjoy writing it as much as anything else.

I'm glad you like the idea.

Cheers Craig
