Quote: Renegade Carpark @ February 9 2010, 12:34 PM GMTI had a look at the Big Finish website and they stated there were 1200 entries. So my pitifully low confidence on this one has just reached zero.
Some poor bugger has got to read all those.

I was thinking more along the lines of 5,000 to 10,000 for some reason.

A lot of people who might have had a go probably didn't even know about it; I only did through this site.
Iiiiinteresting . .

Though I'm really looking forward to seeing Matt Smith inhabit the role; I have to say when Joseph's name was originally suggested, I was all for this guy getting the job. He was ace in 'Neverwhere', if anyone's ever seen that.
Couple of new shiny pics:
New assistant look cute. Will watch a couple.

It's by The Moffatt. It's going to be awesome.
Shouldn't this writing opportunity been moved to another thread?
It was placed in the General Doctor Who thread and so it shall stay in General.
Too late to move now anyway.
There's an unwelcome McCoy vibe here for me - and whackyness - clip-on braces with drainpipe trousers. Every new Doctor it's the same - can't they think of something different?
Why not make him a snappy dresser? This Albert Einstein I'm-so-brainy-I-can't-co-ordinate-my-clothes schtick is old.

I'm only annoyed because I didn't see it...

Eccleston had Leather Jacket and black torusers, that was a bit different.

Because the Doctor is -
1. An alien from Outer Space
2. Eccentrically British
I know the two reasons contradict each other but don't blame me. I once suggested a non-British actor for the role and the liberal lefties on the BCG had a full on St. George's Day, BNP, Morris Dancing, 1966 World Cup, Land of Hope and Glory racial hate riot against all things foreign.
And not just Aaron.

I'm not getting that, but I do wuv McCoy.
Apparently, the outfict was Matt Smiths idea too. They'd put him in an outfit he hated, and at the last minute he asked to wear his own jacket; then, said he wanted the braces and bow tie. The fact he's supposedly into Troughton's portrayal explains that.
I like her cowboy boots.
That monster looks scary too.
