Which sitcoms have been set in the past, or the future? I can think of Goodnight Sweetheart, Red Dwarf, and Come Back Mrs. Noah.
Of course, all old sitcoms appear to be set in the past, to our eyes.

Not so many in the future but I seem remember George Cole as Comrade Dad as a dedicated communist in a future Britain run by the Soviets. He was none to keen on President Sinatra.

I think that that was an alternative present rather than a future setting.
