Here Be Pirates sitcom Page 3

Yeah cheers for all the praise guys. SlagA, I wanted to defy the cliches expected of pirates. For instance, I've taken Skip's idea of having people at the bar discussing who Pinkbeard is and, after finding out he's in fact a pirate, one ponders where his parrot is. Obviously the other responds by telling him to stop believing everything the media tells him. And yeah, I believe that having the accent only used when with others is a potentially good idea. Teamwork, guys!

just to let everyone kno, I'm adapting this into a play now. Wrote enough things for television and have a large portfolio so thought I'd use the resources I've got here at uni and perform it onstage. Alll proceeds will obviously go to charity and when I've organised it fully, I'll let you all kno! Hope u can make it 2 Brunel uni! Mucho lovo

Well, glad to hear it's getting on, but I would have genuinely loved to have seen that on TV. Booo!

I've been waiting to see what was going on with this as I was quite interested in it. It's a potentially more colourful and exciting project than the usual twenty-somethings in a flat type stuff that we normally have to put up with on TV.

Well Aaron, as I have no links in the industry and an editor would probs mutilate it anyway, I decided to do something a bit more feasible. Hopefully, someone will pay attention if it's a decent enough production and that would get my foot in the door of the tv industry; but for now, I just want to do it for fun. Any contacts I gain would just be a MASSIVE bonus :D
And cheers BadDog, I agree with what you're saying, I hate those 20 something shows that every1 seems 2 b obsessed with making; I love the more bizarre or less conventional approach to comedy. I guess you do 2?

Yes, I like something a bit less conventional at times. The other night I was watching some Father Ted and I could imagine your pirates being something along those lines. ARRRR, yes.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but do you remember the pirate sitcom from 1997 starring Craig Charles? That was a pretty bad show!

Haaarrr Lad, Captain Butler was it's name.

Callemcio, That's made things clearer hasn't it?

. . .
