Don't mock chickens because they're reproductive and defecating organs are connected.
Quote: Nil Putters @ February 6 2010, 4:35 PM GMTHello, I'm looking for some comical names for my parents four chickens.
What types of chickens are they?

Ummm, a brown one, a white one (who's quite scary), a greeny one with orange round it's head, and a mottled grey and white one.
I'm not sure if that's their proper names to be honest.
FerNandos
Steve that's inspired.
I don't get it.

Well, that makes it much easier to give them suitable names.
Brown: Chook
White: Chook
Greeny: Chook
Speckled: Chook
Should any confusion arise over them sharing the same name, they can be distinguished by their colours, i.e. "the brown one" etc. You don't want to have favourites distinguishable by name lest they form a pecking order. The white one and the green/black one in particular sound most likely to kill the brown.

Nando's is a fast-food chicken chain. Surely your parents' hens are for eggs, no? Or do they plan to get a rooster so they can breed more and entertain the neighbours?

"Yer name's not Chook?"
"No, it's Princess Layer."
"That's going to cause a little confusion."
"Mind if we call you Chook?"
Feather? (Like Heather but with an f)
Ginger
Shelley (egg shell geddit)
and Pig.
Were my chicken suggestions not good enough Nil?
