Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Page 3

For me 30 Rock works because of the relationship between Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. The rest of the cast just, just manage to be interesting enough to make it work, just.

I gave up on this show last night and turned over to watch Entourage on ITV2, at least that's actually fun.

Hi

Only just twigged where to find the thread on Studio 60 - boy would I get lost on that set! For me it's the don't miss show of the week. Yes, it's unrealistically upstanding - if only...

Is having a weakness for Mathew Perry clouding my judgement, perhaps? :$

I didn't have a weakness for Mathew Perry, but now he's maturing so nicely...

I absolutely love this show.

Aaron Sorkin is top f**king notch.

I couldn't get into it. Like Leevil said 30 Rock kicked it's ass to the curb.

I wanted to like this, but in truth it was self-indulgent and bloated. crucially, the 'funny' bits they showed from the 'show within the show' were awful.

Matthew Perry was good, but other than that I think it deserved to get cancelled.

I agree with MTC. Except to say the first couple of episodes were excellent, when they were given control of the show. After that it went downhill fast. 30 Rock kicked its arse on every level.

Haven't seen 30 Rock, I did like Studio 60 though. It was nice seeing Matthew Perry get a great character rather than the caricature Chandler became towards the end of Friends (this coming from a massive Friends fan). As people have said though it was a bit too smug and clever for its own good.

I really, HIGHLY recommend 30 Rock. It's clever AND hilarious!

And, Tina Fey (with the glasses), is just gorgeous.

Tina Fey is gorgeous and will hopefully one day be Tina Chipolata.

:D

Sorkin is a dialogue genius and when its Col. Jessop yelling in court or Bartlet negotiating a hostage release it cant be faulted - but when its someone making the US version of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.....its doesn't fly (and this from a massive, sorkin/whitmore/perry fan) I watched it and loved it...but had to agree a 2nd season was never going to happen.

Has anybody seen that sitcom Sorkin did about sports presenters?
