Doctor Who... Page 383

I'm tempted to make a submission too, but this is a busy time of year for me (workwise) and I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to go about it, as I've never had an original thought in my life. I'll try to think of something during work tomorrow though. Like how did just Peter Davison and Nyssa end up in the TARDIS alone, as the Doctor had Adric and Tegan with him (when Nyssa joined) - and then Turlough once Adric had snuffed it, and Nyssa departed before Tegan and Turlough. Perhaps I could be creative and have Nyssa trapped into working in a Cyberman brothel and the Doctor has to rescue her, but he is distracted and gets infected with a cyborg STD, leaving Nyssa to save the day and rescue the Doctor. Not that I'm writing about what I know.

Tegan left at the end of Time-Flight (or rather was left behind at the airport). She didn't rejoin until the end of Arc of Infinity. Who knows how many adventures may have happened during that period?

Like Empire of Death I'm assuming this story is set between Time Flight and Arc of Infinity.

Ah, thanks.

It's pretty awesome when you translate it back into English though.

Ha, Griff, you cad! You caught me out. :)
I needed a block of text for the gag, so I borrowed a bit of one of my own "woman's magazine" short stories.
When translated, I still had the main character's name as he first word so I changed it to Doctor. lol :P

Mind you, that re-translation has buggered up a lot of the sentences and added/replaced some different words.

I have just put on my 'End of Time' DVD and I have noticed that the music on pt2 is mixed very low. The sound effects and voices are okay but some of more subtle pieces the music are nearly non-existant! I was just wondering if others have the same problem? A faulty batch or all of the copies like this?

I thought Moffat might have kicked Murray Gold off the next series, but I think he's still going to be there. With another new version of the theme tune. Probably with a gospel choir or something.

I can't say the music's ever bothered me. It does seem to get on some people's tits though.

I'm a big Radiophonic Workshop fan (that isn't TOO nerdy, is it?)

Nice and atmospheric, that.

The Murray Gold stuff is just too much, most of the time. Too much of it, too overstated.

I'd like Brian May scoring it. With his guitar.

Well I think we all know what you can do, don't we.

I think I might have a blast at this opportunity and the fact I know bugger all about Doctor Who isn't going to stop me.

.....so Peter Davison still does the radio stuff then?

Me to good luck Fella. Because mines gonna be ace!

Confidence is good Gavin, I like it.

I guess knowing about the said Doctor is going to help in this.

All the original series Doctors, the ones that are alive that is, still perform in audio adventures, yeah. I think these Big Finish Doctor Who adventures have been going on for something like a decade now! One of them was even adapted into a story for the TV series.

Yup, and Nyssa, his companion.
