Am I misremembering, or was In Bed With Me Dinner actually pretty funny?
Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle - Series 1 Page 44
I enjoyed it, but I was only about 10 at the time. There are clips on YouTube, and the ones I've seen have made me LOL.

It was pretty good actually. Though his career highlight will forever remain hosting ITV daytime parlour game bollocks Win, Lose Or Draw.
Caught Stewart Lee's latest show and no surprises in the content or style but that's a good thing; great rant from the auditorium ("a Michael McIntyre fan is worth ten of you lot"), reading out of pompous letters and some well aimed targets.

Not only is he alive but still gigging.
I've MC'd a couple of shows that he's been headlining and also did the warm up for a TV pilot that he was involved in (it was for a sort of TV version of Radio 5Live's "Fighting Talk").
The DVD is selling for a lovely price on Play:

And cheaper on Amazon:

I liked it very muchly.
Stewart is in a meeting next week to decide formally whether Comedy Vehicle will be coming back.

Spread the word, twitter, whatever! Let's get it back on TV!
Cheers

Well with the comedy roll you're on at the moment Dan, I can't see how they can't comission a 2nd series.
In twenty minutes, that appeal has had *literally* no effect...
Dan
Gone up by 500 or so votes in the past 12 hours, not bad!
Thanks primarily to Richard Herring kindly retweeting my request, and Rufus Hound and Shappi Khorsandi re-retweeting from there! Thanks guys if you're reading!

Dear BBC,
I must protest most feverently at the prospect of further wanton waste of the licence fee on this pile of wank.
Yours etc.,

Yeah, they should spend it on more series like Coming Of Age, Grown Ups and Two Pints! Three series in almost exactly the same vein on the same channel aren't enough, we want a fourth!!
Nah, I wouldn't like another programme, but certainly further new series of each of the three.
