Newsjack - Series 2 Page 26

Depends if you still need viagra...

Got the dreaded 'vote of confidence from the Directors' e-mail too. Fingers crossed.

Well done peeps with emails.

I feel depressed now. Ah well, march on.

How many got substantive sketches recorded? As opposed to one liners etc?

Congrats everyone :)

Don't know at this stage.

Due to general failures to get anything on (or in) Newsjack before, I hadn't realized they sent out "You got in before the edit" messages.

Just got this morning which was A) nice and B) annoying as I'm going to be wondering all day what got on and if it'll make the edit.

Anyone who went to a recording want to step in detailing every little line they can remember from the show? (along with estimates of audience laugh levels and emotioncons illustrating the casts/producer face(s) at the chance it'll stay in? :D )

Well done all.

I was there! Here's a stream of consciousness sketch rememberation (remember, topics may be covered by someone else as well so it doesn't mean it's definitely you) Good one liner about scientists calculating pi to two billion, joke about fat people and chlamydia, sketch about two people at the altar getting wed coverin tory tax allowances "we are gathered here today..." etc, Avatar resurfaced re the left and right wing interpretation, another of the tabloid listen to my opinion and agree bits, also a long bit on disappointment with Obama in the style of Fox news...let me see.... and a good bit about miles sending a threatening text to N-Dubz. more Cadbury/Kraft stuff.

Also phone call from Mylene Klass agent making up stories to get her in the news.

Once again, I don't know what will make the edit but good luck

DO you need to send all your submissions in one go?
Or can you send them in 2 or 3 e mails.

Nice one cheers.
I may try a sketch this week if I can think of anything.

Cheers Aldrin, nice summery. (Although I'm going to ignore your sensible advice:

Remember, topics may be covered by someone else as well so it doesn't mean it's definitely you

And just automatically assume this

sketch about two people at the altar getting wed coverin tory tax allowances "we are gathered here today..." etc

was mine. Go me!)

Anyone else wish to optimistically lay claim to some level of comedic brilliance?

Well, none that Aldrin mentioned!

Dan

When was the last time you saw something on the box about Michael Fish?

Whenever there's a documentary about the 1987 hurricane that he failed to predict. :)

I put Michael Fish in the sketch because he's renowned for getting the weather wrong. As in the 1987 hurricane.

Miles ponders "Should we be concerned about the flood warnings?"
Then he says "I decided to ask somebody who we know and trust with the weather. Michael Fish."

Then Fish saying "Nothing to worry about" whilst at the same time building an ark (as in Noah's Ark) means the flood warnings ARE something to worry about.

Michael Fish was doing the weather just the other night.

I like weather presented by that Dan Corbett, he's bizarre.
Why do BBC weathergirls wear such frumpy clothes?
