That's not good pallour.

Oh, and btw, pallour by its very definition is not good. ;)

And 40 years is the optimistic view.

Always with the doctoring!

*pallor

Pallour is acceptable, though admittedly rarely used thesedays. A couple of centuries ago though...

finding a cancerous lump in those tits would be looking like a needle in a haystack. Unimpressed

Whilst I dislike thread bitching on principle, that is a good line in its genre.

By using the more anachronistic spelling I was alluding to the fact you look vaguely like a character in a Cadfael novel. Pleased

Good luck, Katie. :)

There's a couple of punctuation mistakes, but you sound enthusiastic, and probably use better English than most of the applicants

I suspect Katie's English teacher says something similar.

I've dug up a typical brief for a Creative Writer(...)Personally, I couldn't think of a worse way of spending a working day, so I stuck to production and dicking about in Pro Tools.

Could I just put in a quick word defending advertising writer as a career?
If you're half decent at it, it's well paid, good fun and you get to meet interesting people.
Plus it's good training for this lark.

You sold that very well. Obviously a pro.

Thanks for all your feedback, but AGAIN I would just like to point out that I am a school child. This isn't a real job. So there is no need to send in work examples ect...

But still, Thanks :D

Oh and Tim, get off this thread if you are going to be rude
you could at least wish me luck if you are going to join in :P Smarmy

Ha.
Well, I hope her teacher is a lot more encouraging than most of the miserable gits on this thread. :)

OK - well good luck Katie.

But this surely is a reflection on today's education. You wouldn't expect someone over 14 to make these basic errors - especially someone aiming to be a writer!
