I've been reading the Michael Palin Diaries 1980-1988 and I observed that for one entry me and Michael Palin were exactly the same age (41, 3 weeks and 1 day)
So how did our days compare?
Well, today I bought a pair of school trousers for my 10 year old daughter and spent an age looking for a Southern Electric electricity meter key using the light of a Lego lamp after our meter ran out.
Michael was filming A Private Function, an Alan Bennett screenplay starring Maggie Smith and Denholm Elliott.
