You are awesome Gavin, so I expect no complaining from you. Here in the Big Smoke, they've been showing a reporter from London Tonight stuck in her village.

But then you are watching ITV, so do you expect anything other than feckless morons?

And the day has come... we have finally put the heating on.
:O

:(

The snow's all gone here now. It's like it never happened.

Yes, same here. Very odd to see the ground again. Although everything looks damp.

We now return you to your regularly schedule warnings about global warming.

It's supposed to be 70F/21C here today. Now that's the kind of winter I've grown accustomed to.

Do you believe in global warming, DaButt? I'd peg you as a doubter.

I presumed he was referring to the news media reporting on the dramatic changes in weather.

I'm loving the fact the snow has gone here.

It's very hot here in this room. But I don't want to turn the heating down, as it takes f-ing ages to warm back up again.

I hate it when people complain about heating, but for once I'm some-what sympathising.

I'm all for reducing pollution and finding cleaner sources of energy, but as of right now I don't believe that the science has been properly vetted.

Billions of dollars are being spent on bogus "carbon credits," impoverished nations are demanding billions of dollars from wealthy nations, the world's largest polluter (China) is unaffected because it's an "emerging" nation, while industries in places like the U.S. and most of Europe are penalized and taxed out of existence. And all of this is accompanied by shrill warnings from people like Al Gore, the BBC, lefty professors, socialist/communist/anarchist groups, etc. It looks very much like a plan to reshape the world and its economy in their vision while lining their own pockets the entire time.

I'll believe it's a crisis when people start acting like it's a crisis, not a political/moneymaking issue.

The weather is ever so slightly nice today, so I've biked to work without a coat.

Mind you, it's not exactly Barbados out there.

That's brave, however I was slightly too hot cycling with my hoody under my high viz jacket.

It's been at least 80F/27C every day for the last week. Tomorrow is supposed to be colder with 50 MPH winds before we're back to more warm weather on Sunday. I've been working on my yard a lot and it feels good to stand in the sun again.

Do you get many flies flying round London in the summer?

That's the one downside to biking round in nice weather in sunny Norfolk.
