Just checked on IMDB looks like Keaton was played by Kevin Bishop in the pilot. Can anyone else remember what Chris Barrie did he was listed as a cast member. Adam and Daisy seem to be the only 2 to stay from the pilot episode

I think Barrie was probably the Boss.

All the 'haters' have made Iain Lee cry....

Aw, that's a pity. I actually thought his was the strongest performance in last night's episode.

I can't understand why anyone would be so pathetic as to Twitter those individuals involved in the production of this show with personal abuse. :(

I wonder if a lot of these recent silly studio sitcoms have not suffered from being ensemble pieces, more so than past examples of the genre. This approach must make it much more difficult for writers and performers to build comic characters that engage viewers sufficiently to jump the "this is too silly for grown-ups" hurdle. It is notable that Miranda, which despite having far fewer comic ideas has been far better received, hinges on a strong lead performance.

Now I'm pretty sure Iain didn't receive a load of Tweets calling him a c**t.

I bet most of them just said 'Persuanionists was shit and you were shit in it.'

So let's not exaggerate.

Pity he wasn't in the series then, his presence may have inspired the rest of the cast to raise their game. Liked Daisy and Iain wasnt too bad, and I've always thought Lee Ross was a good actor, pity was just a guest spot

Well off the top of my head - the Bewitched film and SItcom, So Haunt Me, The thing with him out of the goodies and him out of Doctor in The House and Man about the House. The film with Richard E Grant, Mad Men, The Mel Gibson film What Women Want... and others I am sure. :D

Wasn't Mel Smith in Colin's Sandwich a copywriter?

Didn't he work for British Rail in some sort of press office capacity?

Tim's right, I think. But he was also an aspiring horror writer.
