It's not bad, this week's. However, I'd say it's possibly the weakest of the series so far for me, but perhaps only because it upsets the status quo a bit.
After You've Gone - Series 2 Page 10
I'd like to make a joke, but something is telling me I shouldn't.
...put the mace down Aaron...
Something about Rocking All Over The World?
Or it being comedy gold (or at least 12 bars worth)?
watched this for the first time this week, didn't even realise it was a sitcom...still don't.
Ooh! Cutting.
i know, this is what happens when you let northerners have a drink.
me, lee mack, peter kay and a bottle of gin can rip the piss out of anyone.
I've watched this week's episode and so here's my review of episode 6:
It was enjoyable but I think that having Anne back for an episode did change what we would expect normally. I did think that Ryan, Celia and Dani were very underused but the whole setup with the fake cast was very funny and Ryan really played it well. The crying and dumped setup with Molly was very annoying rather than funny and I suspect that some stuff involving Molly/Dani must have been cut.Nicholas Lyndhurst was very good but one of the funniest moments of the show involved Lee Oakes aka Kev on the children's train ride and his apartment with the killer bird .

Gotta agree with that. Dani, well I've not really watched her in anything else, but from that one episode she seems to be really rather bad at crying. But I really enjoyed the scene with her on the phone - the facial expression and growl as she slammed it down on the counter was little short of perfect.
I think it showed that this was the last episode before a filming break, as quite a few minor continuity slip-ups fell through, which is rare for After You’ve Gone. Kev was the star of this episode for me

sounded like you meant Kev being the star was a continuity slip up
Just been reading digiguide and have found that they have switched episode seven and eight around. Maybe the BBC thought having two episodes involving injuries back to back wasn't a good idea.
I've really enjoyed the second series. I thought Series one was pretty good, but it's got stronger. I think Lyndhurst has grown into the role, which has helped and they've used Alex and Kev really well.
Molly is quite irritating rather than funny, she's the weakest of the regular female characters. Diana and Siobhan are pretty good.
What is the name of the Landlord? I can never remember.
Hmm, I'm a bit unsure what to make of this week's. The story was just a bit too far-fetched in places, even for me. Still some funny stuff, but I felt that the secondary storyline - and Alex particularly - could have been used much more effectively.
*hangs head in shame as he scoffs a bag of Percy Pigs*
I've missed the last two episodes. It's not really worth staying in for, but Lyndhurst always puts in a good performance - as does Ryan Sampson, Celia Imrie and Danni Harmer. Bobby the Landlord is very good too - he's making a bad script at least half decent. Oh and Danni Harmer is SO sexy! And she's only ten days younger than me!

Lydhurst is bad choice for this show. He's middle class really. His voice is like a bank manager, and if he hardered it he'd just sound like Rodney again.
And why does the actor ho plays his work mate always play semi-retarded characters in everything he does?
Danni Harmer, yeah out of two and all that, but she looks about 13.
