I always wondered if they took their name from the Wilco song. They did, according to the Wikipedia entry.

A brilliant album with the wonderful One Night in Paris. So clever and funny without being too smartarse.

Don't paricularly like Franz Ferdinand, but that's a great song. Unfortunately, it reminds me of an ex-girlfriend so I've not listened to it in yonks.
