Were you looking at your penis at the time?

Yes, it's DAB.

Dan

An enjoyable Sneakypeaks tonight. And yet again Peep Show's Johnson proves there's nobody better at deranged menace.

It feels wrong, but I quite enjoyed Pam Ayers last night. Don't ask me why, though. Huh?

Aiiiiii!

I'm multi-tasking.

Very tired so only listened to half of Newsjack last night, but what I heard was a great improvement on the first episode. More confident. Except the expert obsessed with George Michael, he was a bit shite.

Yeah, I thought yesterday's Newsjack was better than ep 1 too. The cast clearly had a lot of fun doing it, which came across well.

I just found out (via BCG's Twitter) that On The Blog started last night on Radio 2 for a third series! Excellent! Love it, shall listen at some point (ie 2011...)

I had the misfortune to listen to something called "House on Fire" last night on Radio 4.
According to the BBC blurb "Vicky and Matt, previously strangers, decide to buy a house together in these credit crunch times".

Last night's episode synopsis "Vicky and Matt decide to have a housewarming party. A simple split of duties leaves Matt in charge of sending the invitations and Vicky doing everything else. Surely Matt can get one thing right?"

30 completely laugh free minutes. At one point one of the characters said "Simples" in the style of that f**king Meerkat, I assume this was in an attempt to be "zeitgeisty" and with it.

The two main characters seemed completely unlikable and very cliched (she's a borderline OCD "Monica" type, he's a lazy blokey bloke) and script was predictable and pushed reality to breaking point (who, in these days of texts, twitter, facebook, email, etc actually sends out housewarming invites by post?).

Anyone else caught this? Is it always this bad?

I thought this week's Just a Minute was rather enjoyable. Justin Moorhouse did rather well I feel.

Listened to Act Your Age tonight to see if there was any improvement from the last series. I felt that it was OK. Nothing was really LOL funny, but it had its moments.

However, the main thing I was thinking during the show was, "Doesn't Johnnie Casson sound like Count Arthur Strong."

Yeah, I don't think it's that good a show, but I find it curiously engaging. A large part of the problem is with the format. I'd like less panelists, possibly just young versus old comediens. But I do like it.

I found myself enjoying Pam Ayers again last night. I don't know why. :$

I think you're going a bit Wayne Rooney, Chip.

:)

There's something very gentle about her comedy, and she has a weirdly endearing presence. And although the materials not exactly earth shattering, she's got a good support cast with Geoffrey Whitehead and Felicity Montague.

I caught Ayres On The Air last night, and had mixed feelings towards it. On the one hand it was good to hear some good old fashioned poetry on the radio, but then most of the jokes were pretty ropey, relying mostly on the dreaded P-word (ie: pun). She's an endearing presence though.

Anyone know if the Richard Herring's appearence on Just A Minute has been on yet?
