Women do tend to make a song and dance about everything. Did you get there alive?

It took me an hour and a half but yes. I was fine. Islington is a nice area.

Laughing out loud I was going to comment on this before, but thought it might sound annoying! Elliot does a similar journey like, once a week? :P

Quite. I suppose it does depend to an extent on what line(s) one has to use, but it's not exactly a Herculean effort.

Did you just have to use the tubes? An hour and a half on tubes is so stifling.

No, I got a bus, a tube and then walked 20 minutes from Angel to the pub in question. I don't like tubes so do them when I really really have to. I love cycling every day for that reason.

My little girl feels so bad for all of you that have to ride the tubes. She wishes you all had cars. :$

Awww! The tube is okay! It's even fun if you're in a group. It's just easier. Pleased

Robyn is definitely off to revise now, even though the fact that she had an exam this morning means she really doesn't want to be. :(

Awwww thanks Andie's little girl.

We can't use cars very often in London as it's so busy - and it would take twice the time to drive it. Let her know I do have a car, but I only use it at weekends to get out of London.

That will make her feel much better. Most Americans don't understand public transportation, especially in rural areas. I explained to her how busy the cities are over there. I guess I'll have to do with her what I did with her big brother: show a Top Gear where they have to drive through London. :D

God, I hate having to travel to north London. There may only be a river between them, but they are separate countries. Plus, people there talk funny.

I know. South of the river is better. ;)

I was in Islington for the first time recently - there was a great food market there.

But the most celebrated one in London is Borough Market which is in *drum roll* South London. :D

But it's an annoying one. Going from one side of the same city to the other can take take as long a journey to travel 60+ miles on a motorway or fly to another country. I have to do SW London to NW once a week and it takes so bloody long.

She would love travelling on the tube. It's still abit of a novelty for mine and she's been doing it for six years now. I like the tube; it's warm and dry and you never have to wait long (most of the time) for a train.
