Celebs you've met that are smug b*stards Page 3

Ester Rantzen. Was unbelievably more hateful and vile in the flesh than on TV. Like a less charming version of Thatcher.

Shout! She was guest presenter at a radio station where I was working a couple of years back.

I'd describe her as a c**t but that implies she has depth and feeling.

The biggest celebrity asshole I've ever met in person was Steve Bing. He's the guy who knocked up Liz Hurley (and denied it) and funds all sorts of lefty nonsense in the States.

Al Gore seemed like a prick, too.

He's keeping you safe from Man_bear_pig you ingrate.

And That's Life was a horrible, horrible bullying little program. With it's stupid poems and lets pick on some poor bastard just doing their job.

They famously picked on free-range egg sellers, who had the nerve to actually charge more, just because their hens weren't being tortured.

But at least they had funny vegetables. One of them sat in a wing chair doing poems as I remember.

And she said she'd run for parliament during the expenses scandals.

I suppose we should be grateful as it warned people of the dangers of voting poorly.

Yes although it is categorically true I am slightly worried that I have now shared this in the public domain, particuarly since I have a nagging feeling this may have been the immoral actions of Old Craig.

I've met Craig Charles before and granted he wasn't the nicest bloke to talk to but I wouldn't have thought he was a dick, he just seemed more like I was bothering him whilst phone shopping...

What's the person being in a wheelchair got to do with it? Are we meant to give them special treatment now?

It didn't sound as if Danny meant that to me, Perhaps he meant that he felt Jim was particularly rude to that person because of the wheelchair.

You're right Aaron, he should have let his tires down.

Most wheelchair tyres are solid nowadays. :D

Sally Phillips - I was a huge fan after her stint in Partridge, but found her to be sneaky, supercilious and mental.

I think we would need more details to determine conclusively whether it was them being bastards/having an off day or you being a twat.

Yes.

In 1997, me and about 6 friends saw him in a pub one Sunday lunchtime. He was minding his own business reading the Sunday Mirror eating peanuts and drinking OJ. Each one of us had out picture taken with him and he didn't bat an eyelid. Top bloke, because I imagined how pissed off I'd be if that were me sitting there.

That's exactly what I meant.

Esther Rantzen is becoming the number one c**t of the year by the looks of it. And I can see why. When I were a teen I went out with a girl whose dad was head of the local housing department. They were at the time trying to move a family out of council housing because they had been terrorising the neighbourhood. Esther turns up all guns blazing saying how these people were being and victimised and so on. He told her to f**k off and get out. It was the only time in five years I actually heard him swear.

That's exactly what I meant.

He was ruder to the person in a wheelchair than he was to others?

I am oft concerned that a performer who is so prone to moments of comic genius can at other times, not to put to fine a point on it, disgrace himself both in some of the content in his stage act and how he conducts himself in public, not to mention the fact that he's divorced.

You don't start cooking the pasta with a bit better attitude IT David and you may well find yourself in the same boat, having to eat an early lunch or not!

Have I missed something here????
