Jonathan Ross quits BBC Page 6

I'd get Clive Anderson back.

Maybe they'll go for a different presenter every week, like Buzzcocks.

I fear for the Saturday show and suspect they'll just go for stunt casting. As for the TV show, perhaps one of the new breaed of talented young interviewers, like Charlotte Church? Or Lilly Allen? Errr

Charlotte Church is probably a fairly accurate and feasible replacement for Ross, although she probably would bring a different audience with her. (cue lame gags...)

And as if by magic, I get to repeat my favourite joke (and I'll keep doing it until people laugh...dammit.)

'My mate wants to jump Charlotte Church - he bought a motorcycle and a ramp and everything.'

I wonder what Ross will do? Considering how scathing he is about ITV, I can't see him going there. And is he too old for Channel 4 now? Then there are rumours that he might try and crack America.

Now that he is too old for.
He should stick with channel 4 in my opinion. :) That's where he started after all.

Isn't a bit old to cwack Amewica now?

It's a shame he's going. I only half watched Friday Night With Jonathan Ross during it's latest run though, so a good time to end that, though I think another chat show would be good.

I liked Film sometimes when I was bored.

As for replacements I would have

Friday Night With Stephen Fry

Radio - Myleene Klass (Just to get her off the f**king TV for a while!)

Film 2010 with Miranda Hart

Well, I liked it! I suspect that it was originally about someone else however and you DIYed it a bit...

Cor, that would be nice.

Or Miranda!

Friday Night with Homer Simpson.

I just come across this in the latest Private Eye. Bare in mind that this came out before Ross quit.

If Ross does find himself free of the shackles of the BBC, Channel 4 still seems willing to provide generously for his family. It broadcast The Big Fat Quiz of the Year on New Year's Day, made by Ross's production company Hot Sauce, Ross featured as a panellist along with his former partner-in-crime Russell Brand. Ross was also the executive producer of the programme, in a practice specifically banned by the BBC following the pair's exploits with Andrew Sach's answerphone. One of the two producers responsible for keeping him in the line was Jane Goldman, aka Mrs Jonathan Ross. And a credit for "additional material" went to Honey Ross, their 12-year-old daughter.

It must've been tough for Ross being hindered by BBC guidelines from getting his family pet a credit and fee for his shows.

Wasn't Sean Hughes, late of Buzzcocks, once pounding the gooch off Mrs J Ross?

What a charming phrase.
