I had the worlds yeastiest beer last night, it was on draft but my God it was like looking at a milkshake (It was only a Carling too)
Anyone know how it could have got like that?

I'm currently off all alcohol for the whole of January, but because I've been snowed in all week, I thought I'd go to the local tonight and have a few pints of blackcurrant and see some of the regulars. You think grown men would grow out of calling me a puff for drinking blackcurrant wouldn't you?

I was happy to see Bombardier on tap at my favourite pub in Florida when I visited over the holidays. I had quite a few of them because I can't seem to find it here in Texas.

I assume it was pasteurized at the very least to accommodate the oceanic voyage, but it was very tasty indeed. The pub used to feature a hand-drawn ale, but I didn't see the pump this time. Let's face it, beer isn't going to taste nearly as good 5000 miles from its home, but it'll still be better than Budweiser.
My Friday night/Sunday night local has Czech Budweiser Budvar on pull but as I normally drive there and as it's about 5.2% I can't comment on it's quality ! Bound to be better than the version you have to live with I would have thought tho'!

I try to stay away from drinking beer made with rice and corn and other such non-standard ingredients. Barley, hops, yeast and water is just fine with me.
