Have finished the novel and now have to start another one. :(

Come again. :)

Its a crime novel, I'd quite like to write one a year, in that series anyway.

Whats next one gonna be about?

How long have they given you to write this one?

And are there prozzies in it?

Anyone who can concentrate that long impresses the shit out of me. How you start something like that without being overwhelmed by the scale of it all?

The one I just finished I had about four months with a few prossies in it and an ex one or two. The next one I have about six months and have absolutely no idea what it will be about! :(

I tried that once. Ended up as a lost it thirtyfour year old that can't concentrate.

If it's set in Cardiff, his murderer could use nukes to kill them and there'd still be thousands left for sequels.

I think I'll send him to the east coast of America or the west coast of Ireland and do some research! :)

What about Romford. Or Billericay?

Hollywood? What's wrong with Cricklewood.

I started one with a couple walking the costal route and stumbling on a modern day smuggling cave. Where they are bringing in biological agents for weapons, the walking couple are both killed off and the police write it off as walking accident.

Was kinda a 24 style thing, suspense and bad guys that need checking.

Don't do it. It never works when characters go outside their comfort zone.

I vote set it in Milton Keynes.

Well he comes from Cork originally and acts like a New York cop! :)
