Marc was a marvellous judge at this season's Sitcom Trials (you can see an interview with him, however brief, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65hnrbVk7-g ). And his original post said he was throwing out his reviews of scripts he's been sent. I'm reminded that the comments on all the scripts sent into the Sitcom Trials when we used to select them by peer-review are still up there somewhere on the Sits Vac egroup. I wonder if I can bear rereading those. Well, if you ever sent anything into the Trials between 2000 and 2006, there may be some random comments by strangers still up there. Merry Christmas.
SITCOM CRITS Page 2
I shall be sending my sitcom Dead and Buried to Marc in the New Year so you may like to get your submissions in early. The last one I sent to him put him in therapy for 6 months
I think Keith Moon's drumming on 'Won't Get Fooled Again' is somewhat excellent
All Who stuff is good except for that one with 'Eminence Front' on it (although that was the best track). Best gig ever was the Who at the 02 Last December.
Not sure about the Wbo Sell out and all its comedy bits. They don't half date.
Hey let's just make this a Who fan site. It's a lot easier than sitcom.
Right. Off to crit my last crit before Critmas. Should I be cruel or kind Mr Cratchit?
The Who album that was out a couple of years ago, Endless Wire, was surprisingly great I thought.
I agree.
The last crit is written. Happy XMas to all scribblers, Who fans and to all the little Dickensian chillern, lawks a mercy.
The Who ceased to exist on 7th September 1978.
Soon after that date, a tribute band made up of Roger Daltry, Pete Townsend, John Entwistle and Kenney Jones was formed and worked under the name 'The Who' until disbanding in 1983.
Happy Christmas, Marc.
Are 'The Who' in 'Who's Who'?'
Is Pete Townsend a thinking man's Gary Glitter?

If so, history is full of thinking men who liked being taken up the Pete Townsend.

Well I don't own the two albums they did after Moon died, don't think I'll ever bother getting them either, but Endless Wire, the new-ish Townshend and Daltrey album, is great. Ok?!?!
Of course the best Who is Tom Baker.
The Who were banned from Cambodia as people thought they were called The What and kept trying to live in them.
Who are you?
Some say....
They are all gone now. Into the cyber ether....

That is an interesting article and I certainly see the point Marc is making and I feel it makes sense. However, how many times have we been told that "this is what we want at the moment", only to find out that once we try and deliver it, that "moment" has already passed?
