Chuck's Ok, yeah. I kind of think of that as almost the same show as Reaper. They can be pretty similar in style; they're even both set in a big store.

G vs E.
What do people think of the new bloke then? Or do I have to read back twenty pages?
Has anyone mentioned that the finale of Dr. Who was beyond bad?

Never got into Enterprise, but the last couple of seasons of Voyager were dreadful schlock. Up until then it had been pretty good.
Not sure where we are drawing the line between sci-fi and fantasy, but the British hit rate for has been much worse than the American when it comes to these sort not-in-the-real-world of shows. There has been some good stuff: thelast series Torchwood, Life On Mars, Dead Set, Misfits, Being Human (so they tell me); and some schlock: the first two series of Torchwood, Primeval, Merlin, Survivors, Paradox, Day of the Triffids.

I don't think it really has, if just because we produce far fewer.

General consensus : weirdly faced.

Well, seeing as how we've only seen him for about twenty seconds in action, not much! He seemed fine, offbeat, he ceratinly made no better or worse an impression than Tennant did in his first few seconds at the end of the first series anyway. In fact, he seemed very similar, skinny, funny, manic, but obviously we can't judge what he'll really be like from that intial little titbit.

As a straight bloke, I really don't mind if I don't fancy him! I didn't fancy Tom Baker either! (Obviously I'd have given Peter Davison a good seeing too)
I'd say he certainly has a distinctive and striking look.

I think he looks like he's going to be as irritating as f**k, but I appear to be in a minority.
I couldn't give a shit what he looks like.

Not me.

How?! We've seen nothing practically! Give the poor, skinny sod a chance!
Quote: Griff @ January 3 2010, 4:32 PM GMTHe certainly seemed irritating in the brief clip we saw,.
Really? I'm surprised, he didn't really do that much. Nothing, presumably, that the script didn't ask him to do anyway.

I will. I was just giving first impressions.
If you watch Doctor Who Confidential for the last episode, it shows the behind the scenes footage of Smith's first scene. When he sees the camera on him, he does this ill-advised cowboy shooting the camera thing, which, for me, turned him from unknown quantity to instant twat.

Heh. Well I didn't fancy Tennant at first, and certainly not Ecclestone(e).
He really is very odd looking though.
But I'm sure it won't affect his acting.

Oh well.

Aw, I saw that. He was mega nervous. And you could see he regretted it straight after. Hehe.
