Doctor Who... Page 364

Bleh.

Yes the Doctors Mum will be Catherine Tate or her daughter or some such, and I did think the whole idea was going to be that The Master was in fact the Doctor himself (which would have been pretty cool).. like they created a separate Billie Piper to live in an alternate planet with a separate Tennant. But I did love the fact that the Doctor got to visit all the new characters and chums created in this chunk of the classic series... I just wish they had done it to music.

Yackety Sax?

Every scene with Bernard Cribbins was fantastic. Timothy Dalton was great. Matt Smith at the end was so exiciting - "Legs! I've still got legs!" There's a trailer on: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/

I don't know if it is true or not but I heard this was the song they were going to use when the Young Master was gazing into the time lord's black hole.

Aaron, as you said, you haven't seen the Master episodes from last year, so keep your trap shut. :)

Is this like when I'm not allowed to have opinions on TV programmes because I'm not a writer?

No. It's when you haven't seen the whole set up of the 4 knocks and what they mean. So won't understand that it's ironic and funny when they end up being old Wilf trying to get out of his box!

I am quite sad because when they introduced the four knocks thing as being two heart beats which was 'kinda cool' and they laid extra emphasis on the last beat it became 5/4 time which I demonstrated to my partner with slaps on the knee, which she really could care less about and then demonstrating what the time lord two heart beat would sound like in 4/4 and then they did that later and I pointed out with a smug 'see' or some such... but by then she was asleep.

Well as long as we all know about it...

I'm worried Moffat might be about to piss all over the good will he created with Blink.

That's right, give him a good kick before we've seen anything!! :D

:)

And if you wonder what 5/4 time is.

It really was, and he put in an impressive little turn for the few seconds he had; I really liked the fact he came alive screaming; not unlike when The Master regenerated in fact. Tennants last words were rather nice too.

I think there's a lot in that episode that people who disliked the RTD way would find to hate, but if you just wallowed in it, it was rather wonderful, and Tennant was superb.

I had the thought that the 'Timelady in white' might have been Romana...

The trailer shows the Weeping Angels will be back in the next series, and Unidentified Facepalm Woman is clearly connected in some way.

She's going to be the Doctor's mum, isn't she?

Who? The woman from these episodes, who was talking to Wilf? Because I don't think I saw her in that trailer for the new series?? Are you mixing her up with Alex Kingston?

No. In the episode she and another chap were covering their faces in the manner of the Weeping Angels. And Dalton made reference to the two dissenting Time Lord votes having something to do with said angels. Smells like a setup for a series five storyline.
