SITCOM CRITS

Just to thank all the hundreds of you who have sent me your scripts in the last three years.

It has been a great joy/disappointment/chore/delight in reading them and I sincerely hope that I have helped you on your individual journeys.

Just to let those of you who have had reports from me know - I will be deleting the file before the new year so no copies of scripts or reports will be kept. Just need to start afresh.

I am hoping that 2010 will see some more work of real achievement and wit to push the medium further, way further than all the sitcoms I slagged off in my Indy on Sunday article.

Big things to come on the BSG site in 2010.

And some monoliths from Jupiter, according to that sequel.

Who are you?

Who are you?

Marc runs courses on comedy writing.

He is well known.

He also has a number of books on the subject.

He likes M&Ms but not the green ones

I saw a copy of Marc Blake's novel in Borough Green and Wrotham station, left on a table with one of those honesty boxes, alongside discarded Agatha Christies and Len Deightons.

Who are you?

Are you and IT Dave in a Who tribute band?

Good to see Who fans quoting their fave track title, but this is comedy not music...

You read one of my scripts once Marc.

I really like The Who By Numbers, which is an often overlooked Who LP. Some nice bass fiddly bits.

Merry Christmas et cetera, Marc, all the best for 2010. Wave

I bought myself two of Marc's comedy writing books for Christmas yesterday. I now have a scapegoat. Cheers Marc.

I might as well do it again.

Good luck, Marc.

My favourite The Who album is The Who Sell Out.
After that the bombast took over.

Marc's books are great,.

I don't really like The Who.

I have one of Marc's tiny little books. It's orange I think. The Who are awesomeness!

I've got an e-book of Marc's 'How To Write a Sitcom'. It was the first thing I ever read about writing a sitcom.

Quadrophenia is my favourite Who album.
