I see Rage Against The machine made it to number one, I do find that pretty funny really. And it is nice that it's not another X-Factor piece of crap, even though, at the same time, I find the charts pretty meaningless these days. The X-Factor one is especially bad this year. I mean, it's always bad, but it seems like they made the extra effort this year.

I very occasionally buy limited singles by up and coming bands, but that's only if I think I can make a buck or two out of it in the future.

I used to in the old days, when bands would put three new b-sides on each single; you could get six new songs per single release! I'd make little tapes of them all.

I've never heard the Rage song but at least it stopped that smarmy arsehole Cowell from dominating the Christmas number ones. Number two seems much more appropriate.
I'm sure his profits from selling 450,000 singles this week will soften the blow.
