What does the panel think? Page 3

There's no more funny men than there are funny women.

You don't honestly think there's some magical 'funny' gene only present in the Y chromosome do you? :/
'Cos that would be pretty dumb.

Well there are more women than men in the world so there should be more funny women. But I'm surprised that you think there should be an equal number. Why would there be?

Did you just make a penis joke? Oh, my, that's...quite brillant. *chortles*

*is just so proud*

Why wouldn't there?

The reasons for the way people act socially and the number of people there are on TV doing things is all socio-political. But peoples' inherent ability to be funny isn't. That's the part I'm talking about.

Heh. :) I couldn't quite work out your post.

No, I was planning on the old ambiguity thing making me equally alluring to men and women alike. :)

*worries zooo is proving the case for the prosecution.*

Look I can't help it! I've been brainwashed by uni essays into using that bloody word.

it's so ridiculous it doesn't even need debating.

Apparently not for everyone! :)

You've moved the debate to 'the ability to be funny' rather than 'being funny'. Perhaps you're right, maybe all women can be funny and just fewer of them choose to be funny than men.

Before zooo goes off and joins a nunnery can I just point out that I don't think men are funnier than women, it's so ridiculous it doesn't even need debating. Even listing some contemporary stand-ups (Sarah Silverman, Jo Caulfield, Sharon Horgan) kind of seems like protesting too much. I'll just say two words: Joan Rivers, and rest my case. Now go and read some Dorothy Parker or Nancy Mitford.

I thought the original disputed point was that there were more funny men than funny women, not that the men were funnier. I wouldn't argue that.

I don't like Jim Davidson Live!

It happens.

So if quite soon Jim Davidson dies under suspicious circumstances you don't think you'll be a prime suspect do you?

Done. Now what?

Do a dance.

I would quite gladly go down for that.

Just getting back on topic here for a moment . .

Worried, I think your problem is that you live in Bromsgrove.

:(

Or maybe you just know some humourless women.
(Most of them on here etc, lol, and so on.)

Try 'do time' instead Zooo.

And you might want to rephrase that...

Laughing out loud
