Top of the Pops

Anyone watching the Christmas edition this year?

I wish they would bring it back properly!

Me too!

Stupidest TV decision ever, ever made.

I'm sure no one has the faintest clue who is number one each week now. I haven't known for months/years. I don't know what any bands or singers look like, don't know anything. It used to be so important when I was a kid. Is depressing. :(

So anyway, yes, I'll be watching. :)

I used to like it when I got into music, I would watch it every thursday and then listen to the top 40 on radio 1 of a sunday.

It went a bit poo after around 2001 but it should be given another chance on BBC1 now. Can't beleive it's been gone 3 years.

Yeah, that was the fun thing about it, slagging off most of the acts!
I just like to know what's happening in the charts. Even if I hate 90% of it. :)

You just need to watch X Factor and there pretty much is the future of the charts. Sad sad state of affairs *grumble*

Well yeah, but only because that's the only music we see on TV!
That's part of why so many people watch it I reckon.
Where else can you see people singing live on normal TV?
Nowhere.

I'm not sure they all used to sing live on TOTP.

They had to, it was the rule for ages, I think they changed it back for a while towards the end though.

Yes, how I wish I could watch some of the artists in this weeks top ten !

Stunning performances from Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, Chuckle and LMFAO and the truly incomparable Lady GaGa.

Pack of crap.

Angry

Yes, but wasn't it fun to hate them.

I never did enjoy TOTP.

*shakes head sadly*

I remember watching The Vines go mad on there once and I thought that was good.

But that was about it.

Didn't you watch it when you were little?
Or are you going to make everyone feel bad and say 'that was when I was little'?

Isn't Later With Jools Holland good enough?! Maybe they could do an Earlier With Jools Holland edit?

I was 19 when The Vines were on there.

I didn't watch it when I was little.

I quite like Later with Jools Holland, but I can't always be bothered sitting through the acts I don't like.
